Biography

Rebecca currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Curriculum and Instruction Program and is the Coordinator of First Year Experience and P-16 Initiatives with the Office of Undergraduate Studies and Academic Partnerships. She earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership and undergraduate degree in Theatre and Special Education from Stephen F. Austin State University and her master's degree in Educational Leadership at the University of Texas at Tyler. Rebecca teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in educational theory, diversity, gender and education, and instruction and assessment. Rebecca has focused on academic partnerships between community colleges and TWU.

Current Projects

Rebecca currently serves as the co-director for the New Teacher Academy at TWU. Through this endeavor, teachers are brought back to campus for additional professional development training within their first three years of graduation. Rebecca is also working on building relationships and the pipeline from the community college to TWU.
