Biography

Diane currently serves as Chair of the Department of Teacher Education, where she is an Associate Professor and the Program Coordinator for Special Education. She earned her PhD in Special Education from the University of Connecticut and taught for six years at Assumption College in Worcester, MA prior to arriving at TWU in 2014. Diane teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in behavior disorders, research methodology, classroom management, and behavioral interventions. Her research and teaching interests include positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) at the individual, classroom, and school-wide levels. Diane regularly conducts professional development in classroom management and works with Education Service Centers and districts across Texas and the country to provide training and support to teachers.
