Colleen Halverson, Ph.D., RN
Dr. Halverson, Assistant Professor at TWU in Dallas, is a critical care/resuscitation science specialist with over 40 years of clinical, education, and product development experience. She has been involved with the American Heart Association (AHA) Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) development of resuscitation guidelines throughout the United States (U.S.) and internationally. She worked with AHA ECC teams to develop the ECC Handbook and advanced life products such as the teaching tools for the Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support courses. Her dissertation, Predictors of Cardiac Arrest in Rapid Response Systems, was conducted using an AHA data base from the Get With The Guidelines®-Resuscitation (GWTG-R).
