Patient Safety Research – Infusion of patient safety in the didactic and clinical portions of courses in an undergraduate nursing curriculum. Research project is an over 3 years endeavor with patient safety infused into all of the clinical courses in the TWU undergraduate nursing curriculum. Homeless Female Veterans and their self-image related to military sexual trauma (MST) and/or sexual harassment. Part 1 (Qualitative research) completed identifying a need for these individuals to work through their residual effects from this trauma. Part 2 (Quantitative research) will focus on the development of a program to assist these individuals with coping with their MST issues. Evidence-based Practice Research - Comparing competency and perceived value of learning evidence-based practice (EBP) in TWU traditional undergraduate nursing students. Measured the differences in students' EBP knowledge throughout the 4 semesters of undergraduate courses. Results indicated that there are little significant differences between semesters in terms of EBP competency. As s result, interventions are being made and re-measurement will occur.
