Biography
Erika Armstrong currently serves as the chair of the Department of Communication Sciences and Oral Health. She has been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses at the university level since 2001 primarily in the areas of adult and pediatric dysphagia, language development and disorders, and speech sound disorders. Prior to that, her clinical focus was in feeding and language development in early intervention settings. Dr. Armstrong's current line of research is examining the use of fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) for bottle feeding and breastfeeding infants in the NICU.
