Biography

Dr. Goodwin joined TWU teaching Anatomy & Physiology in 2017 and has taught A&P at the college level since 2010. Dr. Goodwin began her teaching career as a band director in 2001. In 2004, Dr. Goodwin transitioned to higher education joining Mississippi State University, serving in the Department of Marketing, Quantitative Analysis & Business Law. Through her time at MSU and while facing some personal health challenges, Dr. Goodwin found new passion in the science of the human body. Dr. Goodwin graduated from Parker University in 2010 magna cum laude with her Doctorate in Chiropractic, earning two additional degrees in Anatomy and in Health & Wellness, and garnering the Presidential Award in the area of Diagnosis. While Dr. Goodwin's true joy remained in education, she maintained active practice in the DFW area through 2018, eventually phasing out patient care in favor of teaching. She continues to serve the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI-DWC) as a Designated Doctor, using forensic evidence, clinical experience, and an extensive knowledge base to resolve case disputes as an independent, non-biased 3rd party since 2013.
