This FREE workshop designed to teach TWU Faculty and Staff how to assist someone experiencing mental health concerns, addiction challenges, or other crisis situations. Learn about common mental health challenges in young adults and how to react and help in challenging situations. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, substance use, disorders in which psychosis may occur, disruptive behavior disorders (including ADHD), and eating disorders. Participants will receive a certificate. CEUs will be available for LPCs, LMSWs, and LMFTs.
This workshop is offered in collaboration with the Health and Wellbeing Initiative and taught through Denton County MHMR. A healthy lunch and snacks will be provided.
