We are pleased to announce that the annual Ally Training, sponsored by TWU Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS), will take place on Friday, April 21st, 2017 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
This interactive day-long workshop held each semester as part of a nation-wide effort to provide support to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ) students, faculty, and staff. The purpose of this program is to increase knowledge, personal and community awareness, and increase the number of physical and emotionally safer spaces for LGBTQ individuals on the TWU campus. We hope to do so by educating students, staff, and faculty and providing opportunities to practice strategies for advocacy. As TWU Faculty, Staff, and Students, you are in a great position to be Allies for others on campus, so please consider joining us for an exciting day of participating!
