This program will provide students with a space to assess their progress in the semester and their goals for their remaining college careers through the use of metacognition. Metacognition refers to the awareness and understanding of one’s own thought processes. In relation to academic success, utilizing metacognition is a critical asset to ensure comprehensive learning and the transference of knowledge between courses in one’s related field. This workshop provides students with a check-in point in the semester to apply metacognition strategies in their individual lives, as well as Summer options to further their college experience, so that they may return to the semester reinvigorated with a multifaceted plan of action for their continuing college career.
