The MHFA is a workshop designed to teach educators how to assist someone experiencing mental health concerns, addiction challenges, or other crises. Learn about common mental health challenges in young adults and how to react and help in challenging situations.
Topics covered include anxiety, depression, substance use, disorders in which psychosis may occur, disruptive behavior disorders (including ADHD), and eating disorders.
Participants will receive a completion certificate. CEUs will be available for LPCs, LMSWs, and LMFTs.
Virtual Class Format:
1. Classes are capped at 20 participants each.
2. Pre-registration is required. Go to the Google link in this calendar event to register.
3. Pre-work will be required to be completed before the day of the virtual training.
(Due to the limited availability of the MHFA trainings this semester, please make sure you are available to complete the pre-work and attend the entire class BEFORE signing up.)
Space is limited to 20 reservations. You must confirm your reservation when you are emailed to secure your registration. Unconfirmed reservations will be released to individuals on the wait list. Registration closes Friday, March 19, 2021.
The virtual session will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 9am - noon AND 1pm-3:30pm. To complete the session, you must attend both portions. The break in between sessions allows for an hour lunch break.
