The Constitution Day panel will discuss the legacies of women’s suffrage. The 19th amendment was the first big right afforded to women that informed the advancement of women's rights in the 20th century.
This online program will begin with an introduction by Dr. Nancy Schiesari and Ellen Temple of a film clip from Citizens at Last, The Texas Suffrage movement. This will be followed by a panel of TWU professors examining the continuing pursuit of full equality for women in America. The panel will feature Dr. Christina Bejarano, and Dr. Nila Ricks.
