2:00 PM - 2:30 PM
The TWU Department of Public Safety will be testing the Pioneer Alert system on Tuesday, September 17th at 2 pm for Denton, 2:15 for Dallas, and 2:30 for Houston. The Pioneer Alert system is the university's emergency mass notification system designed to provide our community with information and warnings about emergency situations such as emergency class cancellations or suspensions, severe weather warnings, active assailant events, or power outages.
Take a moment to update your contact information for Pioneer Alerts. Visit the Pioneer Portal and select “Register for TWU Pioneer Emergency Alerts" to update how you receive Pioneer Alerts. When you log in to verify your information, you can even customize how you receive Pioneer Alerts. While a Pioneer Alert will always send to your TWU email, you can customize how you receive additional notifications. You can configure the system to call you, text you, and send an email to your personal email account!
